Huntsville is the "jewel" of Alabama. Located in Madison County, Huntsville is urban, progressive, hi-tech, and NOT your typical Alabama city. The photo reveals the downtown area that encompasses the Von Braun Civic Center sitting next to the Big Spring Park. Also shown is the Huntsville Museum of Art. As of 2006-2007 this area of the inner city is yet again changing to encompass a new Embassy Suites and the addition of other hotels to attract more conventions and tourist dollars.
